Kunstmuseum Düsseldorf - Exhibit in the Kunstpalast
in all exhibit halls

SALDO - April 11 through 13,07, 1997

From the Class of Klaus Rinke, 1974 - 1997

Klaus Rinke and his former and current students will show new work in the six large exhibit halls of the Kunstpalast. The energy represented by this group of sculptors, then and now, will be displayed in a wide array of sculptural solutions.

Apparent will be especially he transformative power of site specific sculpture. Site specific also means related to societal concerns. To impact places means to affect thought, where Rinke's students are concerned.

The class of Professor Rinke set standards in the two decades of its existence. Of the about 120 artists who are planning to participate in this exhibition, many are internationally known. They represent an exciting chapter of Düsseldorf's art history.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog, drawing on authentic source material from the history of the class of Professor Rinke.
